If someone has issued a claim against you through a County Court, it's important to act quickly - you only have 14 days from receiving the claim to reply. If you don't respond, or leave it too late, a judgment could be made against you, which could make it difficult for you to get credit in the future.
A Debt Management Plan (DMP) isn't legally binding, so creditors can still take action against you. As we have many years experience and have good relationships with the creditors this doesn't usually happen. However we obviously continue to support you if any of your creditors aply to the court for a CCJ. Even if a creditor applies to the court for a CCJ your regular monthly DMP payment is likely to remain similar.
CCJs don't prevent you entering into a DMP; We will help you make the payments to creditors who have issued you with a CCJ. You will be required to provide details of your CCJs during your financial assessment. CCJ payments will be given priority when we distribute your payments monthly.
